Winter on the Ranch

Jill Watterson - Monday, January 02, 2017

With the colder weather, comes a break from the planting and cutting of hay, and time to work on machinery.  In the winter months,  we feed the cattle all of the hay that was grown over the summer.  They eat well and we make sure they are strong and healthy.  Some of our mama calves will begin calving in late February and early March, so we watch them carefully as they get ready to bring their new calves onto the farm.   Like us on Facebook to see photos and keep up with the ranch happenings.

January is the perfect month to get orders in for beef.  We often have plenty of beef and the butcher slows down during the months of January and February, so scheduling always runs smoothly.  Call or email today if you are interested and I'd be happy to answer any questions about our beef.

Cheers to a happy and healthy 2017 -
